Pat's route You may know of Pat Farmer for his long (as in very long) distance running. He has raced across North Ameripat farmerca twice with a respectful second and fourth place finishes, raced around the edges of Australia as well as racing across deserts and has raised over $3.5 million for charities. Pat also served in the Australian Parliment for several years.

My wife and I had the great fortune of meeting Pat and his crew as he ran through our neighboring counties. So you ask where was he running to this time? The truth of it is he is on his way to the South Pole which in itself is impressive, assuming I live in Alabama.

However, he started this run at the North Pole! Yes, a North Pole to South Pole run. He is running 50+ miles per day to complete his 13,000 mile run before the weather changes in the South Pole with a goal of $100 million to the Red Crosses. Please donate to either the Canadian, American, or Australian Red Cross.
