Planning a fun or genealogical trip to Germany or elsewhere in Europe? You will not find a better tour guide than Uli, sole proprietor of Bushmann Concept. He is fluent in English and he continuously worked during our two week tour and over 1600 miles to enhance our genealogical and "once in a lifetime experience." We were provided with an opportunity to meet Karlo Dillmann and his wife of Geisenheim, who are owners of an 2008 award winning wine and a large family owned vineyard. We also spent an entire lovely day enjoying 30 plus Dihlmanns in Wurmberg sharing genealogical records, home made delicious deserts and fine wine and beer. It was surreal to hear the account of one Dihlmann as he extinguished his church fire during WWII. Our accommodations and meals throughout the tour were well planned and outstanding German cuisine. You will be shortchanging yourself by not having Uli as your tour guide.
Tara is developing a colorful and informative site with tips and phrases for your trip to Germany. Tara translated a letter into German for the DillmanFamilyAssociation which was widely circulated among German Dillmanns or Dihlmanns as an introductory to our Association and DNA project. I am sure this site will be continue to be a great asset to travelers to Germany and it will only get better - so frequent visits is a must.
